Rowan Atkinson

Rowan Atkinson

Rowan Atkinson is famous for his character as Mr. Bean, and with his special speechless comedy he stole the hearts of millions. It’s an interesting story how Rowan created and baptized the character which dates back to his days of studentship at Oxford University. He was struggling to find a new character for his play, when the idea of Mr. Bean 'sprouted' in his mind.

In one of his plays, he acted as ‘Robert Fox’ without dialogues on an experimental basis. That became a big hit giving Rowan a big fan following and applause for the character. This motivated him to further fine-tune himself and thus 'Mr. Bean’ was born. He wanted the character to be identified with vegetables and it’s a different story that he contemplated the character to be called ‘Mr. Cauliflower’.

Atkinson’s favorite pastime was driving but with a difference. He wanted to drive Lorries. There is a mystery that shrouds Atkinson, who gave nearly 14 short films for public entertainment. Suddenly he went into a hiatus for several months, which made people think that he was no more. There are varied opinions that he is no more and the web is abuzz with debates on whether Rowan is alive or dead. It naturally would be a hearty wish of any human to see Rowan only alive and kicking lest people should not suffer his loss. May be Atkinson’s fans are trying to set records straight in the meanwhile and let’s hope we get good news to see Mr. Bean 'sprouting back' from his hiatus.
